ENHYPEN’s Newest Track, Dark Blood, Could Be One of Summer’s Best

K-pop boyband ENHYPEN have quickly established themselves since debuting on a survival show ten months ago as global forces. Since then, they’ve made waves with their stylish dance productions, amassed seven million “ENGENES,” and taken home four awards at awards season. Plus they’ve experienced international life firsthand; performing Milan Fashion Week shows as international artists before successfully concluding a sold-out world tour to sold out arenas! All while remaining true to using music to tell their tale – which has only just begun!

ENHYPEN are currently midway through their Fate world tour. Their new mini album Dark Blood revisits vampire themes first explored on Border: Carnival as they cement their image as “K-pop’s smoothest Vampires.”

Big Hit Entertainment uses this track to showcase individual member’s individual talents, with Heeseung as an impressive vocalist being singled out for particular praise. However, producers still managed to balance his signature swagger with enough throwback production elements so as to keep this song sounding contemporary for 2023 listeners – making this song one of summer’s stand-out tracks!

As the song progresses, its production becomes ever more elaborate and complex, culminating in an extravagant beat drop featuring an expansive bass line. A horn section and synth riffs add an extravagant atmosphere that mirrors their group’s luxurious persona.

At the conclusion of each song, a spoken-word bridge adds tension and urgency, creating an immediate feeling. Unfortunately, like so many of their intro tracks, this short snippet doesn’t last very long before its time has come and gone.

ENHYPEN has had an incredibly busy year so far. After returning from their Asian leg of their Fate world tour and beginning its U.S. leg soon with two shows in Anaheim, they’ll soon embark on its U.S. leg with two shows at Anaheim before touring around South Korean music shows and making appearances across other continents until late 2016. ENHYPEN members understand this is part of being rising global stars but are fully ready for it; practicing “amor fati,” they realize their rise has been provided them by fate so they’re committed to making the most out of each opportunity!
