AMA Supercross Schedule
This weekend marked the official kick-off of 2023 Monster Energy Supercross season as NBC Sports and Feld Entertainment unveiled the full 2023 schedule of Monster Energy Supercross races. AMA SX 450SX includes two regional crowns while 250SX West/East series include two East/West Showdowns for added competition.

AMA Supercross Results
The American Motorcycle racing series known as American Motocross Championship outdoor season features some of the highest-profile motorsport events in history, featuring world-class athletes who push their motorcycles to their limit in stadium settings across America. Running from January through early May, riders compete to earn points towards qualifying for that premier 11-round series AMA Supercross Championship outdoor series.

European Motocross racing utilizes two 30-minute plus two lap motos per round; by comparison, American Supercross races consist of one main event every week with 22 riders starting the 22-rider main event starting gate. Additionally, 250SX class races are hosted every round and riders competing are tracked separately from 450SX riders.

Team Honda HRC rider Jett Lawrence took home two victories during Round 9 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Saturday evening at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama. Heavy rains left red dirt track saturated but Lawrence managed to grab an early holeshot and take home top honors in 450SX Main Event race despite obstacles and no one behind him.
Haiden Deegan of Star Racing Yamaha received two penalties during the 250SX class main event, first for cutting the track during his heat race and later being fined $1,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
