The Outlaw Music Festival is an impressive musical tour featuring iconic artists like Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan as well as other acclaimed country and rock musicians. Scheduled to visit various cities throughout the US, this tour features Willie Nelson as the headliner and Bob Dylan is among many others performing.

Since 2016, the inaugural Outlaw Music Festival has grown into one of North America’s largest touring music festivals, hosting legendary performers like Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Luke Combs, ZZ Top and Sturgill Simpson – not forgetting countless others such as ZZ Top’s bassist Zakk Wylde! A must-attend event for country and folk music fans alike!

This year’s Outlaw Music Festival will bring some of the biggest names in country and folk to 25 events across the country, led by Willie Nelson & Family as they join Robert Plant & Alison Krauss as well as John Mellencamp for performances across 25 events across America. Additionally Billy Strings, Brittney Spencer Celisse Southern Avenue will join this tour which stops by Hershey and Burgettstown this summer.

Willie Nelson has shown no signs of slowing down at 90 years old. Recently he won two Grammy Awards and was nominated for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame membership. Furthermore, his Outlaw Music Festival tour still continues and made an appearance at Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre last Saturday night.

As is customary for Nelson, his set began with “Whiskey River” from his catalog of classic Americana songs. From there he launched into his usual mix of old and new hits with an emphasis on country classics; although interaction between songs was limited. Nelson still showcased his sing-speak pattern and warm voice though!

Once his first round was complete, Nelson introduced an unexpected guest: Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir. Nelson returned to his own set, performing “If You Don’t Think About Me, You Don’t Know Me,” followed by his signature encore performance of “San Antonio Rose.”

On September 17, Darien will welcome back the Outlaw Music Festival to BankPlus Amphitheater with an exciting lineup that includes Willie Nelson & Family, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Gov’t Mule, and more. Citi cardmembers have access to pre-sale tickets until Thursday; general public sales start Friday at 10 AM local time – more information can be found on festival website.
