Who is Adele?

  • by

Adele stands out in an industry where artists compete to sound similar and what may be popular; her sound is dignified and stately, making her one of music’s oldest voices with an aesthetic that spans demographics.

On 25 – her third studio album – she revisits the themes of heartache and loss that made 21 so successful, yet this time the lyrics are personal.

She has a soulful voice

Adele has one of the most soulful voices in music, and her songs are filled with emotion. Her powerful and moving lyrics can capture the hearts and emotions of millions worldwide.

Vocally, she draws influence from blue-eyed soul icons Dusty Springfield and Petula Clark, with an imitative rich soulful voice capable of reaching high notes that almost cry-out like Dusty. Yet her controlled, breathy notes don’t strain throat damage as easily. Additionally, her signature “floaty head voice” has also improved significantly over the years.

Her songs combine soul and blues textures with emotionally expressive lyrics that explore themes such as heartbreak, loss and longing with unflinching candor and intimacy. She makes them available to her listeners through emotional storytelling that draws them in while her emotive and vulnerable storytelling opens them up to reflect upon their own experiences and explore themes such as longing.

She has a unique style

Adele stands out among other popular singers with her distinctive sound and honest lyrics, connecting with audiences around the world. As one of the most successful female artists ever, her fans remain amazed by her incredible talents.

She knows how to conduct herself under pressure: last year she joined James Corden on Carpool Karaoke and performed some of her biggest hits; her performance was fantastic – even including nailing an original Nicki Minaj verse!

Adele has been practicing her craft ever since she was a child, just as Picasso or Beckham have. Attending the Brit School – boasting alumni such as Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis and noise-rock band Black Midi – helped Adele develop her signature sound and learn to fully utilise her remarkable instrument.

She has a great career

Adele has had one of the greatest careers in music history. Nominated for numerous awards including Album of the Year at Grammy, she has performed across the world and amassed an immense fan base; with 25 selling over 800,000.000 copies within its first week.

As opposed to some pop stars, she does not hide behind an intimidating public persona or use her fame to engage in personal feuds with rivals. Instead, she speaks openly and honestly with an appeal across different demographics – sharing opinions freely while being forthcoming about personal matters.

Adele boasts an incredible fanbase of female fans aged 25-44 years. As an artist and performer, Adele excels at moving audiences with her incredible voice – easily hitting high notes as well as deep tones with ease, she can belt out songs with power and passion.

She has a great family

Adele is fortunate to be blessed with an amazing family who support her. Both her parents reside in northern Michigan, so Adele spends as much time as possible with them. In her free time she enjoys sailing, creating resin art pieces, attending the Renaissance festival, clowning around with her caique (small parrot), as well as engaging with its unique intelligence.

Adele’s 25 is an album about Adele’s journey back to love. To broaden her musical horizons and add her signature sound, she collaborated with hitmaking big-name artists Max Martin and Danger Mouse; their hits made an appearance here too, creating an ode to time passing in all its tragic details.

Singer Beyonce hasn’t ruled out expanding her family in the future and recently made an encouraging statement that suggests baby number two may soon arrive. At a recent concert, she stopped to chat with an expectant fan, providing them with some baby name inspiration before writing them down in her notes app on their phone. Furthermore, she is in a relationship with American sports agent Rich Paul.
