Norah Jones

Norah Jones has made her own mark as a singer-songwriter. She has provided vocal assistance for Keith Richards and Ray Charles; collaborated on an album of duets with Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day; and released the country album Foreverly in 2013.

Pick Me Up Off The Floor is her latest project that allows her to explore unfamiliar musical territory, joining forces with producer Leon Michels (known for working with Kings of Leon and Tom Waits).

She is a singer-songwriter

Norah Jones began her music career as a singer-songwriter in 2002 with her self-titled debut album Come Away With Me being released and being an instantaneous success, winning five Grammy Awards along the way. Since then she has become one of the top selling recording artists ever and sold over 53 million albums worldwide.

Feels Like Home, her second album released in 2004, was the first to display all her talents as a musician. Later that same year she released The Fall based off personal life experiences and memories.

Norah Jones released her fifth studio album Little Broken Hearts produced by Danger Mouse in 2012. This album included contributions by Mavis Staples, Jeff Tweedy, Thomas Bartlett, Rodrigo Amarante and Tarriona Tank Ball – including Mavis Staples herself!

At present, she lives in Brooklyn, New York with her children and leads a private life. Activist in supporting arts and social causes; member of Democratic Party supporting equality between race/gender as well as environmental concerns; she promotes these causes.

She has a band

Norah Jones first made her way to New York City in 1999 and quickly established herself by singing jazz standards at various clubs. Her album Come Away with Me was an immense commercial and critical success and earned five Grammy awards; subsequent albums Feels Like Home (2002), Not Too Late (2007), The Fall (2009 g) and Little Broken Hearts (2012) also proved popular with listeners.

Norah has released solo recordings as well as duet recordings with several musicians such as Ray Charles and Billie Joe Armstrong. Additionally, she has appeared in films and has performed songs for TV shows.

Visions marks multiplatinum nine-time GRAMMY winner Leilani Michels’ ninth studio album of all new original music. Visions is the counterpart to Pick Me Up Off the Floor released early during COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and its dark emotions; visions features New York musicians like bassist Lee Alexander, drummer Dan Rieser, guitarists Jesse Harris and Adam Levy to provide strong support on its production.

She has a YouTube channel

Norah Jones maintains her own YouTube channel that features music videos and interviews of herself and other musicians. She has appeared in TV shows like Dancing With the Stars and The Late Show with David Letterman; in films directed by Wong Kar-Wai such as My Blueberry Nights; as well as working on Seth MacFarlane’s Ted soundtrack album soundtrack album release project.

Her fourth studio album, The Fall, was released in 2009 and reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 1 million copies globally; certified platinum in 14 countries. It featured duets with Willie Nelson on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”. Jones also appeared on Ryan Adams’ 2005 Jacksonville City Nights album with Ryan Adams as featured artist, singing background vocals on their track “Dear John”. Lastly she sang background vocals for Foo Fighters 2007 hit song Virginia Moon which included background vocals by Jones as she shared half-sibling relationships with Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar as well as Anoushka Shankar himself – making Jones half-siblings to Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar who introduced Jones into Indian culture by marrying into it all of it all!
