Formation took place in Fresnillo, Zacatecas in 1977 as Conjunto la Brisa; led by brothers Adolfo and Gustavo with their cousin Fernando as leaders of an ensemble that quickly rose to become masters of the grupero genre – an musical subgenre comprising romantic ballads to tropical cumbias.

Los Temerarios were one of the premier bands in grupero during the late ’90s, competing against supergroups such as Los Bukis and Los Yonics for dominance on the scene. Through popular hits like La Mujer Que Sone, El Amor No Se Puede Ver and Tu Infame Engano, Los Temerarios quickly established itself as an international phenomenon and earned themselves household fame throughout Mexico.
