AMA Supercross is the World’s Most Competitive and High-Flying Off-Road Motorcycle Racing Series
AMA Supercross Championship is one of the world’s premier off-road motorcycle racing series, pitting elite athletes against one another on custom-designed tracks inside stadiums across America. Beginning January and concluding early May with 17 races taking place on custom tracks for both 450cc Class as well as 250cc East/West classes.

The AMA Supercross App
The AMA Supercross App gives fans access to their favorite high-flying stars from one of the world’s premier off-road motorcycle racing series, created by AMA Pro Racing. This official mobile app provides live timing and scoring of on-track activity as well as event/season schedules, session results, rider point standings and rider headshots/bio info/laptime data in any active 450SX and 250SX session.
The app also provides video and photo content from each race day, while fans can purchase event tickets and merchandise directly through it.

The AMA Supercross Championship
Since its inaugural season in 1974, the AMA Supercross Championship has produced an impressive roster of champions. Ricky Carmichael reigned supreme as premier 450cc class champion from 1989 – 1992; other riders like Bob Hannah, Mike Bell, Jeremy McGrath Chad Reed and James Stewart all won series championships as well.
2023 will see an intense battle for supremacy in the 450SX class between Eli Tomac (defending champion) and Cooper Webb (2-time world champion), alongside Adam Cianciarulo and Chase Sexton from Monster Energy Kawasaki looking to continue their winning streak, alongside international riders like Marvin Musquin (France), Dylan Ferrandis (France), Justin Barcia, Aaron Plessinger, and Malcolm Stewart all seeking their maiden championship titles.
The 17-race American Motorcyclist Association Supercross season spans from early January through early May with rounds held across football and baseball stadiums across the United States. After that comes Motocross Championship “outdoor” racing until summer when outdoor facilities will once more host racing.
The AMA Supercross Hall of Fame
The American Motorcyclist Association’s Hall of Fame is an offshoot that recognizes those who have made significant contributions to motocross racing, motorcycle sport and general riding culture. Additionally, this organization maintains a museum where visitors can explore and experience this rich heritage of motocross and motorcycle history first-hand.
Ricky Carmichael was an icon, with five AMA pro motocross championships and 31 national motocross wins during two separate stretches – earning himself the moniker “The Greatest of All Time”. His accomplishments set the benchmark for future champions to follow.
Dave Arnold worked with Honda from the mid-1970s through 2013, mentoring and developing some of motocross’s greatest talent, such as Marty Smith, Roger DeCoster, Bob Hannah and Jeremy McGrath (AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame members). Additionally, he played an integral part in creating MotoAmerica – a road-racing championship series sanctioned by both AMA and FIM that equips American racers to compete globally.
